Middletown, OH Home Investigation, 2007
Ξ June 25th, 2007 | → | ∇ Paranormal Worlds |
Location: Middletown, OH
Built: 1859
Reports: Shadow figures and/or shadows, small stacks of towels being relocated in bathroom, pantry door opens completely on it’s own, resident being woken up at night after being touched, and hearing voices. Talking/voices throughout house, strange behavior from one dog.
Results: Active and most likely haunted with one or more local spirits. Very strong mobile energy present on upper floor. The nature of the activity does not seem to be hostile or frightening. Only male voices are heard on recorded audio. Some are residual, others are inquisitive or greeting or suggestive. They never appeared to be upset or agitated.
Strange observation: Door latch and chain on doorway upstairs leading into upper back bedroom, was set up to keep someone in that room, so they couldn’t get out. Some orb/ecto activity recorded in 1st floor bathroom, that was once the front door/porch area (it is common in Victorian era homes to have long side porches leading to the front door, to create a sense of privacy). Owner reported folded towels being placed on the floor there at one point, and the pantry door just outside the bathroom, opening up on it’s own. Remnants of a pot belly stove on 2nd foor in the back bedroom where the shadow figure video below was recorded. I also caught what sounded like a match striking and sizzling or cooking, on my video camera, at two different times, in this area.
See the evidence files below.
Shadow Figure Video:
Here a large shadow appears out of nowhere on the wall to the right of the camera. We didn’t see this in-person because of how dark the room was. I had to lighten up the video to see it clearly. No one was behind me with a flashlight or a camcorder, making it unexplainable as to how this shadow would appear and move so quickly out of frame.
Combination EVP file below, these were all recorded on my video camera’s microphone. Some of them are harder to hear than others, so you need to turn up your volume fairly loud and listen closely, and play them over a few times. I often use subtitles to help people catch them the first time through and make sure people aren’t discarding them quickly, as I’ve heard lots of evp files online, where I simply could not figure what I was supposed to be hearing.
File below: Listen for that sizzlin/cooking sound here again, and then you’ll hear “Let’s Catch Some Rats” near the end. No one recognizes this voice and I was alone upstairs while recording this, and none of us can remember or imagine anyone saying “Let’s Catch Some Rats.” It was certainly possible rats were a problem in this home/area, it was built well over 100 years ago.

The second video, if you are referring to those small things flying around, they look like bugs. Not sure if that is what you were showing though. I like the 1st evp.
