Ghost Hunting Tip!

Ξ November 17th, 2008 | → 0 Comments | ∇ Paranormal Worlds |

Use rechargeable batteries! The way we go through batteries, I’m not sure there’s any reason not to. Plus, the higher end Nimh batteries last longer in digital devices. So go green and recharge instead of throw out, and save a lot of $ over time.

Updates to site

All the evidence files should be embedded YouTube files now.

I also updated the Features pages, good grief. I don’t know what sort of self-righteous mood I was in, when I wrote parts of the Demonology and now-named “Foreword” entries, but I cut those down and made them more appropriate and concise…if anyone cares.

Many of the case pages were updated and corrected as well.

If there are any spirits hanging out at the Briarhurst Manor in Manitou Springs, they may want to head south for the winter.

The 130-year-old mansion, now a restaurant, was one of three finalists for the Sci Fi Channel’s “Great American Ghost Hunt.” The finalists told their tales on Halloween night during a live investigation of Fort Delaware by the cable channel’s “Ghost Hunters” program, with the winner getting a full investigation by the “Ghost Hunters” team.

On Wednesday’s results episode of the show, head ghost hunters Grant Wilson and Jason Hawes announced they will investigate all three finalists.

“I get to start telling people all the ghost stories that we have,” said Tammila Wright, a local historian who nominated the restaurant for the search. “We’re pretty excited.”

Wright and her husband, Erick, traveled to Fort Delaware to make the case for the Briarhurst - where strange noises, mysterious footprints and unexplained happenings have convinced them the place is haunted.

The show will tape at the Briarhurst later this winter and the episode should air in the spring, Tammila Wright said.

The Wrights had a couple spooky experiences of their own while spending the night at Fort Delaware, once a Civil War prison camp. Erick Wright saw something large and grey running in the night. Later, Tammila Wright said something roughly as big as herself ran past her and disappeared.

“I felt like someone was running on the left side of me,” she said. “I thought it was going to run me over. That really freaked me out bad.”

Loveland Castle EVP from last Saturday night 11/1/08

Ξ November 2nd, 2008 | → 0 Comments | ∇ Paranormal Worlds |

I had a lot of fun meeting all of the visitors and people from other Paranormal teams last night at the Loveland Castle fundraiser and Paranormal event. Below is the EVP those of you in my group might remember, from the Chapel Room. There was no one talking at the time in the room or nearby, let alone that loudly or strangely. I caught this on my camcorder and my digital audio recorder, and I heard this in real time with my headphones. You can hear me comment on the video, “what was that?” (not uploaded as of this time) As I didn’t hear it in the room but only through my headphones.

See you at the Loveland Castle Saturday Nov 1st.?

A few PINK members and two other groups will be doing a presentation and leading a public investigation, at the Loveland Castle tomorrow night, starting at 6pm. In the mean time, enjoy some strange videos featuring the castle below:

Going YouTube

Ξ October 31st, 2008 | → 0 Comments | ∇ Paranormal Worlds |

I’ve started to convert all of the evidence files here to YouTube embedded videos. I think some people have had trouble with the site crashing their browser with the Windows Mediaplayer embedded files, and also the time it takes for them to load up.

I hope this helps people with any problems they’ve had in the past viewing the site. I’ve updated all of the Case pages, except or one or two that I haven’t gotten to yet.

My name is Brad, and I am a team member of Paranormal Investigators Of Northern Kentucky (P.I.N.K.). Previously I was a member of Southern Ohio Paranormal and have also conducted independent investigations. PINK has been a highly successful group in the field and have been to many locations in the last 3 years around the OH/KY/IND area.

I have investigated, formally as a small group or with an "official team," close to 20 different private homes and government buildings, as of summer 2008. Most of the investigations were homes owned by concerned or curious residents. I also live in an active home in an Ohio River historic district, across the river from downtown Cincinnati, and it has propelled my long-time interest into a formal hobby a few years ago, helping others and cataloging the evidence of stories.

P.I.N.K. is registered with the State Of Kentucky as an offical non-profit organization. This web site does not represent P.I.N.K. or it's views necessarily, and not all of the evidence here is approved by the group. This is just a personal blog/diary of mine, as I wanted an outlet to show what I've recorded and experienced.

In any case, I welcome questions and constructive criticism of anything here.
