PINK as well as myself are featured in Karen Laven's latest book, "Cincinnati Ghosts." You can pick up
a copy at any regional Border's, Barnes And Noble or on Amazon.com.
Percy Seymour's book is a highly technical read on yet unproven Physics theories that
point to the existence of a third dimension, which we call the paranormal, as it
relates to human death, time and space.
Cincinnati Cemetaries is a nice coffee book style account of Cincinnati's oldest and most historically relevant cemetaries. It
covers Spring Grove Cemetary in an in-depth fashion and is a great reference if you live in the area. Highly recommended.
I have to admit, it’s very interesting to watch, and wonder.

I watched this over and over, and I just can’t figure out how that this could be a hoax. They say the video wasn’t tampered with, but who knows.
I think it would be fairly easy to make a blue blurry image and overlay it onto the video, but as I said, they report that the video was not tampered with.
If they can’t explain this and it is believed to be a “real” ghost, one thing I don’t get is why it doesn’t get looked into further. If this is a real ghost encounter, why does it not attract any interest from government officials?
I want to see a skeptic scientist to review this video. I don’t want to see an interview of the local kid that just checked out the video. For all we know it could have been a odd refraction of light.
Why does the paranormal stuff like this get the two minute spot at the end of a nightly newscast? I mean if this is an actual ghost, isn’t this kind of a big deal? Why does this not attract the attention of more “qualified” educated individuals?
I want to believe in ghosts, but I’m sorry I am going to need to see the Ohio blue gas station ghost in person and not on a gas station security camera. That records video that even I could doctor a similar image on in 10 minutes.
I’m not saying that it wasn’t a ghost, or just another hoax, but I am saying that I do not buy into the myth that this blue image was a ghost or an angel as few suggested. I like to think that if an angel would show it’s true self, it would not be a blue blob in an Ohio gas station.
Some of them on the front page below take longer than others to start, and Yahoo’s servers seem to be dodgy today with the video streaming. They’re typically 5-15 Mb’s, so if you’re not on broadband, it’s going to be an issue.
Give the larger ones 30 sec’s or so to start up (then they will replay immediately) and hit the play button every so often to make sure it’s in play mode. Refreshing the page also helps. Normally, I’ve never had any problems. Thanks for stopping by.
And guess what? It looks just like a….moth! There’s no cloudy distortion, it does not fly through walls and furniture, nor change shapes. Nor is it spherical. I, sadly, found and had to eliminate the moth from the room. Using a high resolution digital video camera helps, and is one of the reasons I’m not so fond of lower res DVR systems used for security purposes etc…,
I wanted to mention an excellent book I’m currently reading, written by an English couple, John and Katie Pickering, “Beyond Photography” (buy it from their web site - Lights2beyond.com or on Amazon).
The book tries to forumlate a scientific explanation for the luminosities similar to the ones (although on video vs photos) I have posted here, by going through a series of theories over time, as they record more and more “ghost lights” in and around their home in England.
Rods, orbs, cloudy shapes, and even Fairie-like winged anamolies have popped up for both of us (accompanied by EVP’s). The book is well-written, and stays on track. I recognize what I’ve recorded on video here in my home and on investigations in their photos, and this seems to be a very important, basic part of paranormal spirit activity, that we should all take more seriously. It’s not about “impressing” someone, but a clear and undeniable amount of evidence showing the presence of something we have absolutely no scientific or factual knowledge of.
I don’t know what the heck this is in the video file below (taken from our Newport home). I sware it looks like a little person with wings, if you stop it, at it’s brightest/biggest point. I should mention a notable psychic toured the home last year, and mentioned that we were located in the middle of a “fairy ring.” After looking into this, I see that “fairies” were taken quite seriously by Native American Indians and Europeans. I find it interesting how these lights fly “through” objects while maintaining their luminescence, as if the objects (furniture etc..,.) are not even there.
This light in the video (taken in the front room as are all of the others) is only visible in the IR spectrum apparently, like all or most of the “ghost lights” I’ve filmed in here. The file below is about 13MB’s, so give it a few seconds to load up and stream.
Last year activity here got very noticeable right around Christmas time. Same thing seems to be happening this year possibly. Below I recorded a couple of things late at night in the front room, while our cat Sophie was hanging out with me. The orbs and shapes, or spirit(s) seem to like the cat, as they have been filmed flying near and through her before, she also is often caught darting her head around, looking at something we can’t see (at least we think that’s what’s happening).
The other night I was awoken by metal dresser drawer handles in the bedroom knocking loudly, we’ve heard or felt bangs from the basement on the floor and near the bed, and I recorded footsteps in the front room, possibly coming from the kitchen (see file below). Every once in a while I feel a noticeable knock on the floor right between my feet at my desk, from the basement. This seems to happen only when the activity is flaring up. I’ve tried to debunk it (wood settling, creaking etc..,) but am unable to. It’s a loud thump that I can feel and hear.
I left the camera in the basement overnight about a week ago, and it was filled with loud and unexplainable noises, some short voices, a very loud door slam at one point, and what sound like foot steps near the camera.
It’s hard to fathom given the description above, but it’s ultimately all very subtle and takes place over time here. Of course if you’re not looking for it, or don’t know to, you would never realize there’s spirits flying all around you every day in the home. I get the cold spots and feeling of someone near me in the front room while I’m sitting at my desk, but can’t justify it in any way, so I just ignore it.
In the new files below you’ll see one of the typical cloudy orb-like anamolies, and the sound of footsteps walking on hardwood floors coming towards me slowly, then walking away very quickly….
My name is Brad, and I am a team member of Paranormal Investigators Of Northern Kentucky (P.I.N.K.). Previously I was a
member of Southern Ohio Paranormal and have also conducted independent investigations. PINK has been
a highly successful group in the field and have been to many locations in the last 3 years around
the OH/KY/IND area.
I have investigated, formally as a small group or with an "official team," close to 20 different private homes and government buildings, as of summer 2008. Most of the investigations were homes owned by concerned or curious residents. I also live in an active home in an Ohio River historic district, across the river from downtown Cincinnati, and it has propelled my long-time interest into a formal hobby a few years ago, helping others and cataloging the evidence of stories.
P.I.N.K. is registered with the State Of Kentucky as an offical non-profit
organization. This web site does not represent P.I.N.K. or it's views necessarily, and not all of the evidence
here is approved by the group. This is just a personal blog/diary of mine, as I wanted an outlet to show what
I've recorded and experienced.
In any case, I welcome questions and constructive criticism of anything here.
