Are ghosts real?
UNH audience hears stars of hit TV show “Ghost Hunters”

DURHAM — Two plumbers from Rhode Island spoke Wednesday to a packed house at the University of New Hampshire about some creepy stuff — and it had nothing to do with pumping septic tanks.

Fans of the Sci-Fi Channel show “Ghost Hunters” waited two hours in line outside the Granite State Room to hear Jason Hawes and Grant Wilson, co-hosts of the show, discuss the facts and fiction of the paranormal world.

More than 200 people viewed footage of a shadowy figure emerging and recoiling in the former solitary unit of Eastern State Penitentiary and heard audio clips of a disembodied child’s voice requesting, “Can I come in?”

Hawes and Wilson showed a slide presentation and cracked jokes, claiming they were plumbers not public speakers.

With more than 17 years of experience with ghost hauntings, the plumbers — formerly employees of Roto-Rooter — investigate paranormal activity all over the country in places like lighthouses, old mental hospitals, and residences. The show has been on the air for about three years.

“We’re not the best out there. We’re just crazy enough to be on TV,” Wilson said.

Looks…like a possible fake to me.

This is a perfect example of why it’s important for reputable, trusted groups with a reputation at stake, to exist.

If this video is a fake or not, no one will ever know, other than the person who shot it. There’s simply no way to trust it ultimately. The “face in a window” phenomenon has become such an urban legend type of cliche.

My name is Brad, and I am a team member of Paranormal Investigators Of Northern Kentucky (P.I.N.K.). Previously I was a member of Southern Ohio Paranormal and have also conducted independent investigations. PINK has been a highly successful group in the field and have been to many locations in the last 3 years around the OH/KY/IND area.

I have investigated, formally as a small group or with an "official team," close to 20 different private homes and government buildings, as of summer 2008. Most of the investigations were homes owned by concerned or curious residents. I also live in an active home in an Ohio River historic district, across the river from downtown Cincinnati, and it has propelled my long-time interest into a formal hobby a few years ago, helping others and cataloging the evidence of stories.

P.I.N.K. is registered with the State Of Kentucky as an offical non-profit organization. This web site does not represent P.I.N.K. or it's views necessarily, and not all of the evidence here is approved by the group. This is just a personal blog/diary of mine, as I wanted an outlet to show what I've recorded and experienced.

In any case, I welcome questions and constructive criticism of anything here.
